Are Braids Right For Vacation

by Elaine
(Montreal, Canada)

Q: I have long hair, and I am going to the Caribbean for ten days.

Should I wear braids to keep my hair safe from the sea water?

A: It doesn't really matter actually.

The braids will only keep you from having to spend too much time on styling, but you'll still have to carefully rinse all of the salt water out of your hair after you go into the sea each time.

Spraying down your hair with a good leave-in conditioner is also very important to keeping your hair healthy whether you've been on contact with chlorinated or salt water.

The choice is I suggest you chose the style that you feel most comfortable with in wearing and managing it.
