Why Do People Wear Makeup?

Q: What is the main reason why people, both male and female, wear makeup?

Hi Mandy. People wear makeup for a lot of different reasons and it's really hard to say what the main reason is because everybody's answer is different. Here are just a few of the reasons.

1. To cover up imperfections they don't want anybody to see (like acne and dark spots).

2. To make their face look better (more symmetrical).

3. To highlight their best features.

4. To look slightly or completely different.

5. To look more pulled together and "finished".

6. Because it's just fun!

Makeup is very exciting and if you haven't tried it yet you really should. You'll be surprised at how much fun you can have with it. :)
