washing hair before a perm

Q: I exercise a lot and I like to wash my hair frequently.

I'm scheduled to get a relaxer on Saturday, would it be okay to wash my hair on Friday morning?

A: I would go with a big no on that one...especially if you have a sensitive scalp.

I've done it before, but it was an emergency and I regretted it after.

If I were you I'd just wait the extra day and get my hair relaxed. If you don't you might end up getting burned or underprocessed.

If you do decide to go ahead and wash your hair make sure your stylist bases your scalp extra good and get ready to run to the basin when you're done.
