What are some good makeup foundations brands for black skin?

My name is Denise and I have a really hard time finding powders and foundation that works for black people.

Any recommendations on what brand I should use and water proof make up I swim a lot so I need it!

Hi Denise! As far as we've come as a group with makeup we still manage to have a hard time finding foundation that both looks and feels good.

My tried and true are Maybelle Dream Matte Mousse foundation and I also like the makeup by Iman.

I've been hearing good things about the Mary Kay foundation makeup as well from my sister although I haven't tried it yet.

Waterproof makeup is something I've never tried before and I've never seen one made by companies who make shades for our skin.

As always though, request samples of everything you're interested in or go to a makeup counter and try the testers before you commit to making a purchase!
