How To Get Rid Of Dark Areas Around The Mouth
Q: Hello, I have uneven skin tone, on my face and neck. What frustrates me the most is the dark spot I have around the corner of my mouth. You know at Halloween when people dress up as Dracula and put fake blood around the corner of their mouth. Well it's like this with me, and it's really dark compare to the rest of my face.
Can you please help me and give me some advice! Thank You Camille's Answer:
Hi Kaella. The type of darkness around the mouth that is sounds like you have is usually caused by an iron deficiency.
Try eating more foods high in iron like apples, dried fruit, milk, spinach and broccoli or taking an iron supplement every day.
Until your body balances out and brings your skin back to normal your best bet is to use a concealer a shade or two lighter than your natural skin tone to cover the areas.
You can also rub organic shea butter on the dark areas to help them lighten up faster.
Whatever you do though, don't use bleaching creams on your face! They are very dangerous in general but especially for your delicate facial skin.
