How To Get Rid Of An Extremely Dry Scalp
Top Brass Anti-Dandruff Hairdress
Q: My scalp seems to get so dry and flaky within a week and a half. my hair is natural and I have been wearing it straight for some time now. I only straighten my hair that first night and just simply wrap, to avoid excessive heat.
I have tried, all the different types of dandruff and dry scalp shampoo and conditioner, I have tried deep treatment, and mayo. Is there anything else I can try?
A: Hi. Yes there are two more things you can try.
1. Get some tea tree oil (concentrated) from your local holistic shop and add a few drops of it to your shampoo (the amount you put in your hand).
When you've worked it into your scalp and got a nice bubble going on, leave it to sit there for about 1-2 minutes. You should feel a nice tingle going on.
Tea tree oil is one of the best remedies for itchy flaky scalps.
After you apply your conditioner, take extra care to make sure you rinse every trace of it out of your hair because that can lead to flaking.
2. Also, try a product called "Top Brass". It comes in a blue and white tube and it's really good for grooming natural hair, but even better for keeping your scalp conditioned, itch free and flake free as well.
Hope this helps and that you can soon put your days of scalp scratching behind you!
