How to fade scars faster

by Tanisha
(London)

I'd like to know how to fade scars faster.

I have scars on my body, especially my legs and I really want them to fade so I can feel comfortable to wear skirts or shorts.

I was wondering if you know a way that I can fade my scars.

Whats the best product?

Or is there something I could make myself at home?

Time and a couple great products...
by: Camille

I know you've probably heard it before but the nest thing to get your skin tone even is time.

I don't recommend bleaching in any form because those products lighten the whole skin tone and have bad effects on health since chemicals get absorbed into the skin.

Three things you can use to help time and the natural process along are...

1. Use a sugar or salt scrub to exfoliate the top layers of your skin and expose the fresh skin with normal color underneath.

To make it you'll need:

- 1 clear plastic jar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- lemon juice (optional)
- scented essential oils (optional)

Mix this in a container and use it 2-3 times a week for best results.

2. Use African black soap (unrefined). Black soap is a great natural option that many people swear by.

It has a combination of several natural ingredients that help relieve acne, oily skin, clear blemishes and dark marks (you can even use it to wash your hair!).

3. Unrefined Shea Butter. This product is good for soothing the skin and creating a more even toned complexion bu helping to blend discoloration and fade dark marks.

Make sure you get the unrefined kind because that's the type that will really make a difference (not the watered down stuff).

Try a combination of these three things and give it time and you'll not be embarrassed about your skin at any time.
