Here are tips for creating a basic day time look and a bolder night time look with liners.

Create A Simple And Classy Day Time Look

When you’re heading for a day at work or if you’re going to the park on the weekend nothing beats a simple and clean eye makeup look. Doing a basic eye gives you look polish and class without being overly made up.

For daytime liner, it’s best to stick with deep browns and other muted colors. Stay away from black liner which is just way to dark to give a light, breezy and casual look.

Applying your eyeliner to the top lid only, gives your eyes a very sophisticated look.

Here are some tips on how to apply eye liner step by step.

Step 1

Apply your eyeliner from the outer corner of the eye towards the middle.

Repeat the same action starting from the inner corner of the eye and connect that line to the other in the middle.

Use short strokes to work the liner into the base of the lashes, rather than drawing a line on top of them. Make the line thicker or thinner according to how bold you’d like it to be.

Step 2

Use a cotton bud to smudge the line for a softer look, or dip a slanted brush into a similar shade eye shadow as the liner and trace over it to soften the line even more. This also helps to set the liner so it will last longer.

Step 3

Fix any mistakes like lines drawn too far or done too thick with a clean cotton bud or a sponge with a little foundation on it.

How To Apply Eye Liner For Nighttime Sexy Eyes

When you’re getting all dolled up for a night of clubbing it’s better to go with bold eyeliner looks. A daytime liner will seem to disappear at night and your eyes won’t command much attention.

Night time is when you can break out the black eyeliner and any other bold and beautiful color (or color combinations) your imagination can think up.

• A great way to really enhance the look of night time liner is to dip a moistened angled brush into a shade of eye shadow and use that to go over your lined eyes. This softens the edges of the line, makes the color bolder and makes it much longer lasting.
• Line the inside of the lower lash line to frame your eyes and add more of a sultry, smoldering look to your gaze.

Don’t be afraid to experiment with using two different colors of eyeliner on the top and bottom lash lines, the more creative the better!

Tips On How To Apply Eye Liner That’s Liquid

Liquid liner is trickier to master than a pencil and requires a steady hand. There’s a secret to getting it to look as good as possible and that’s working from the outer corners in.

• Line your eye from the center of the lid to the outer corner, then line from the inner corner to the middle of the lid, joining the two lines seamlessly. In time you’ll get better and be able to do the whole thing in one smooth line.
• Keep the liquid liner as close to your lashes as possible for the most natural look. Even if you have to apply it very slowly, do it so you don’t end up with raccoon eyes!
• Use a white liner pencil on the inside of the lower lash line to brighten up the eyes and really make them pop.
