Fierce Eye Makeup

Q: Is is a good combination to put blush cheeks with fierce eye makeup. Is it o.k. to look fierce everyday with fierce makeup?

A: Hi Sophia. Thanks for posting a pic. You have beautiful features and the general rule with makeup is that you should focus on one of them at a time.

That means if you're going strong on the eyes, keep the lips and cheeks fairly neutral. if you're going strong on the lips keep the cheeks and eye neutral and if you're going strong on cheeks, keep the eyes and the lips neutral.

That way you'll always come off as classy and not clownish.

There are exceptions to every rule though. If you're one of those lucky people who can get away with dramatic makeup looks day or night, then go for it.

If not, focus on one feature at a time (hopefully your best one) and really make it look great.

As for looking fierce everyday? I'd personally try to vary it sometimes between looking relatively normal and going for all out drama.

If you slap on full glamor makeup every day people aren't going to notice when you make an effort to look special.
